Monza está ahora a punto de sellar su lugar en el calendario de la F1 2020.
Hubo dudas sobre el futuro no solo de Monza, sino también de otro lugar histórico en el calendario actual, Silverstone.
Se ha anunciado un nuevo acuerdo de GP británico hasta 2024, y el jefe del GP de Italia, Angelo Sticchi Damiani, dice que Monza está listo para seguir su ejemplo.
«Monza estaba muerta, pero la hemos resucitado, como Lázaro», dijo a Corriere dello Sport.
«Vamos a renovar hasta 2024 y disfrutaremos este evento mundial por otros cinco años. Estamos muy cerca (a eso) de Liberty Media».
