Cyril Abiteboul ha negado los rumores que sugieren que Renault podría expulsar a Esteban Ocon.
Los rumores en Portimao habían afirmado que el equipo oficial está tan decepcionado con el desempeño de Ocon en su regreso a la Fórmula 1 este año que Renault ahora está mirando a su compañero francés y ganador de Monza, Pierre Gasly, para 2021.
El jefe del equipo Abiteboul lo niega.
«El año que viene, él (Ocon) estará con nosotros y obviamente tiene toda nuestra confianza, toda mi confianza», dijo sobre el piloto de 24 años.
Sin embargo, el francés Abiteboul agregó: «Debe lograr avanzar y establecer objetivos alcanzables para estar en una dinámica de éxito».
