El director comercial de F1, Sean Bratches, dejará el deporte.
Informamos en septiembre pasado que un anuncio podría ser «inminente», ya que Chase Carey y Ross Brawn de Liberty se quedaron, pero Bratches estaba listo para irse.
Mark Kleinman, editor de Sky News 'City, cree que ahora podría hacerse un anuncio «tan pronto como» esta semana.
«Las fuentes dijeron que era poco probable que el Sr. Bratches fuera reemplazado directamente, y que sus responsabilidades se dividieran entre otros altos ejecutivos de la compañía», dijo.
En noviembre pasado, el CEO de F1, Carey, admitió que atraer nuevos patrocinadores para el deporte había sido «más lento y probablemente más difícil de lo que esperaba».
Un portavoz de la Fórmula 1 no hizo comentarios.
La mayor parte de la carrera de Bratches se gastó en el canal deportivo estadounidense ESPN y su propietario, The Walt Disney Company.
